Instructional Computing Facilities

The computer science department maintains an instructional computing facility and remote servers, which serve its students’ computing needs for CS coursework.

Student Access Heading link

Students enrolled in computer science courses may access lab workstations or remote servers allowing students the flexibility to complete their course work from the lab, home, or work. Students may login to these resources using their UIC NETID credentials.

The instructional computing facility offers the following equipment:

Department workstations

  • 52 Linux machines (Ubuntu 18.04)
  • 4 LCD monitors for student collaboration
